🔹 Career Timeline

Black Level’s Ze:U (2021-2022)

On September 19, 2021, Jongwoo, under the stage name Ze:U, was officially announced as a member of the boy group BLACK LEVEL (블랙 레벨). After a member, Chanha, announced his withdrawal from the group on December 23rd due to health reasons, Jongwoo became the maknae (youngest member) of the group and his positions were main dancer and rapper.

On January 13, 2022, VT Entertainment opened a Rising-star funding campaign to support the group’s planned debut in February and after a month later, it was announced that Black Level would release their debut mini album ‘New Start’ on February 26th.

VT Entertainment announced that Jongwoo, along with three other members of the group, had decided to leave the group on November 29th as they wished to pursue their idol dreams separately.

BOYS PLANET and pre-debut (2023)

On December 29th, Jongwoo was announced as a contestant on Mnet’s South-Korean reality survival program ‘BOYS PLANET (보이즈 플래닛)’ as an independent trainee. After an incredible performance as the Center of K-group’s Stray Kids’ ‘Back Door’ during K vs. G Group battle, Jongwoo saw an impressive jump in ranks every evaluation and eventually made it to the finals. His BOYS PLANET journey ended in 18th place.

After BOYS PLANET, Jongwoo showed his perseverance by continuing activities. He opened a YouTube channel that he updated regularly and held multiple fanmeetings in both Korea, Japan and Taiwan - many of which with fellow BOYS PLANET contestants such as Lee Hwanhee and Lee Dongyeol (both formerly of UP10TION) as well as his current group member, Jay Chang.

Leader of ONE PACT (2023 - Present)

On September 22nd, Jongwoo posted a story on his Instagram account with a picture of a logo and name “ONE PACT” along with the words “Coming soon”. This raised a lot of anticipations in his existing fandom as ever since his joint fanmeeting with Jay Chang last August of the same year, Jongwoo had hinted multiple times that he would debut in a group. Four days later, on September 26th, Jongwoo was announced as the first member of the new boy group ONE PACT, along with news that the group was set debut by the end of 2023. The other members, Seongmin, Tag, Yedam, and Jay Chang were announced in order weeks after.

On November 8th, the CEO of Armada was revealed to be former idol, TV-personality, and YouTuber Kangnam, and in an interview he shared that he picked Jongwoo as the first member of the group after meeting him post-BOYS PLANET and gave him the job as a leader and the freedom of picking his own members.
